Speeding through the air

The climbing park and high-ropes course at Waldbad Anif is a classic option. The individual courses are named after local Salzburg mountain peaks. The Mönchsberg, Schlenken and Watzmann will really show what you're made of. 110 different stations are not to be sneezed at, and you'll be able to swing from tree to tree like a forest creature or climb colossal spiderwebs – by which time you'll really feel you've earned a refreshing leap into the cool lake waters. But the real highlight is the zip line across the forest pool. The cable spans a distance of 300 metres and passengers reach speeds of up to 60km/h – ultimate aerial excitement.

Climbing fun guaranteed

If you like to explore the vertical, the Salzburg region has plenty of fantastic climbing options to offer. Breathtaking views await at the Drachenwand fixed rope route, high above the Mondsee lake. Did you know that the Kapuzinerberg, in the city of Salzburg, is also home to the City Wall fixed rope course? In bad weather or during the colder months, the climbing hall in the city of Salzburg itself is a popular option.

Action in the water

Where better to experience the untamed power of nature than on a raft or kayak? There's nothing quite like it. If you're looking for some water sports action, you can choose between the wild waters of the Salzach, Saalach and Lammer rivers. Adventurous visitors can find a variety of activities – tours ranging from beautiful, leisurely panoramic rides through to challenging wild-water expeditions on mini-rafts. Push your boundaries on the waters of Salzburg.

Into the abyss

The ravines of Wiestal, Lofer and the Strubklamm promise the last word in adventure, with an enormous variety of activities on offer. Abseiling, diving and sliding down slopes carved by the water – canyoning offers a thrill a minute. With the latest equipment and the professional instruction of a canyoning guide, safety is a key consideration – along with fun, of course.
